Dance Le Beat

Dance Le Beat jive club, which is based in South Somerset, runs popular Modern Jive freestyles and lessons in Ilminster and Honiton area. We are a friendly outgoing club and our aim is to make learning to dance Modern Jive, fun and exciting for everyone.

Modern Jive is probably at present the most popular partner dance in the uk. A mixture of many dance styles including, Swing, Rock & Roll, and sexy Latin styles make it more a mongrel of a dance, rather than a pedigree. Its fun, cheeky and easy to learn with NO complicated or hard footwork to learn.

Modern Jive is a great way to exercise the body and mind, and as the lessons do not run as courses, there is no need to enrol. Just turn up on the day and if you miss a week thats not a problem, as the moves are repeated in rotation.

Evenings Classes are held at the Honiton Motel, Honiton, Ilminster parish hall, Ilminster and Sparkford Inn Sparkford. We also run 2 Freestyle each month one at Honiton and the other at Ilminster as well as Workshops during the year. Full details are on the lessons and event pages
