Dance Le Beat

Dance Le Beat jive club, which is based in South Somerset and East Devon, runs popular Modern Jive freestyles and lessons in Ilminster, Yeovil and Honiton area. We are a friendly outgoing club and our aim is to make learning to dance Modern Jive, fun and exciting for everyone.

Modern Jive is probably at present the most popular partner dance in the uk. A mixture of many dance styles including, Swing, Rock & Roll, and sexy Latin styles make it more a mongrel of a dance, rather than a pedigree. Its fun, cheeky and easy to learn with NO complicated or hard footwork to learn.

Modern Jive is a great way to exercise the body and mind, and as the lessons do not run as courses, there is no need to enrol. Just turn up on the day and if you miss a week thats not a problem, as the moves are repeated in rotation.

Evenings Classes at Offwell Nr Honiton are on a Tues night. Doors open at 7.45pm and beginners class start at 8.15 prompt for about 45 min. Then there will be music played to practice your moves followed by an Intermediate lesson starting at approx 9.40pm for about 35 mins followed by music until 11pm.

Evening Classes at Yeovil are on a Thursday and follow the same time table as Offwell.
