Dance Le Beat Modern jive organization, which is based in Somerset, running popular LeRoc freestyles and lessons at Ilminster, Yeovil and Street area. We are a friendly outgoing club and our aim is to make learning to dance Modern Jive [LeRoc], fun and exciting for everyone.
Modern Jive [LeRoc] is probably at present the most popular partner dance in the uk. A mixture of many dance styles including, Swing, Rock & Roll, and sexy Latin styles make it more a mongrel of a dance, rather than a pedigree. Its fun, cheeky and easy to learn with NO complicated or hard footwork to learn.
Modern Jive [LeRoc] is a great way to exercise the body and mind, and as the lessons do not run as courses, there is no need to enrol. Just turn up on the day and if you miss a week thats not a problem, as the moves are repeated in rotation.
Evenings Classes are held at the British Legion, Street and Sparkford Inn Sparkford Nr Yeovil. We also run 2 Freestyle events each month one at Sparkford Inn and the other at [Barrington] Ilminster as well as Workshops during the year.
New monthly Freestyles start at Street in Jan 2010. Full details are on the lessons and event pages
